Protection against electric arcs: SMA ArcFix effectively detects electric arcs and thus helps to prevent
fires. The arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) effectively detects potential electric arcs in the photovoltaic installation, and the inverter interrupts the injection mode before a fire can occur. SMA was a pioneer in AFCI technology in the United States and has significantly improved this technology over the past ten years. We plan to equip all our string inverters worldwide with our SMA ArcFix AFCI solution in the future. This will contribute to improving the already very high level of safety of photovoltaic installations.

Manages shading: SMA ShadeFix: SMA inverters have integrated smart voltage management in your solar panels to not impact solar production if you have shade on one of your solar panels. It measures the most optimum voltage of your installation. No need for optimizers or micro-inverters, the SMA ShadeFix system is automatically included in this inverter.
