The essential function of a battery monitor is to calculate ampere-hours consumption and the level of battery charge. Amp-hours consumption is calculated by integrating the current flowing in or out of the battery. In the case of direct current, this integration is equivalent to the current multiplied by time. A discharge current of 10 A for 2 hours for example gives a consumption of 20 Ah. All our battery monitors are based on a powerful microprocessor, programmed with the algorithms needed for precision control.
